After three years of speedsters, it's time for The Flash to deal with some different big bads, and it sounds like he won't be the only one getting challenged. Three new villains are coming to the series, one recurring and two in series regular roles, as The Flash picks up for a blistering Season 4.

The big bad of the season is not a speedster, as promised, as Neil Sandilands joins the cast as Clifford Devoe aka The Thinker. This metahuman has "the fastest mind alive," as his metahuman ability enhanced his brain power. Sandilands comes from The CW's The 100.

He's joined by The Mechanic, another established DC Comics character, who will be played by Kim Engelbrecht, whose genre past includes Dominion and Eye in the Sky. The Mechanic is The Thinker's right hand, designing devices to help in his "plan to fix humanity."

Finally, Danny Trejo, who needs no introduction, joins as Breacher, an inter-dimensional bounty hunter and the father of Gypsy. "His mission is to prevent any inter-dimensional traveler from threatening life on his planet," notes The CW, while mentioning he's also a bit of an over-protective father. Sounds like Cisco is going to have to tread carefully if he wants to keep vibing on Gypsy (sorry).

The Flash Season 4 kicks off Tuesday, October 10 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
