In between stints kicking evil ass as Captain America, Chris Evans has been working on a new high-concept sci-fi flick—and we finally have our first official look at the post-apocalyptic Snowpiercer.

Directed by Bong Joon-ho (The Host, Mother), the film marks the South Korean filmmaker's big-budget Hollywood debut. The story follows the last survivors of humanity thrown together on a train, in the wake of a global catastrophe. Though the above shot doesn't show Evans in action, it does offer us our first look at the last train on Earth. Needless to say, things are not going well.

The film stars Evans (The Avengers), Tilda Swinton (The Chronicles of Narnia), Jamie Bell (The Adventures of Tintin), Alison Pill (The Newsroom), John Hurt (V for Vendetta), Ed Harris (A Beautiful Mind) and Octavia Spencer.

Here's the synopsis:

Snowpiercer is set in a future where, after a failed experiment to stop global warming, an Ice Age kills off all life on the planet except for the inhabitants of the Snowpiercer, a train that travels around the globe and is powered by a sacred perpetual-motion engine. A class system evolves on the train but a revolution brews.
Snowpiercer is scheduled to debut this summer. In addition to the above photo, some concept art was also released showing the frozen remains of the planet. You can check it out in the gallery below:
