The Kingpin is looking to make a clean start in the Marvel Comics universe as a legit businessman, and here's a first look at his new series.

The recent Kingpin miniseries published as part of Civil War II was a surprisingly fun diversion from the epic superhero clash, and now he'll be getting his own ongoing series. The story will follow Fisk as he returns to New York City hoping to rehab his image and become a titan of legitimate industry.

Instead of, you know, illicit industry.

It all kicks off when Fisk makes an enticing offer to a disgraced journalist, and then the "spiraling saga" starts spiraling.

The series is being handled by the creative team of Matthew Rosenberg and Marvel newcomer Ben Torres. It's not terribly often that Marvel focuses a series on a villain, but the Kingpin is certainly nuanced enough to warrant his own story -- just watch Netflix's Daredevil series as a prime example for how awesome this could be.
The first issue of Kingpin hits shelves on Feb. 8.
