The Last Jedi and Game of Thrones have more in common than we thought

It's that time of year again. Time for a new Star Wars movie. With The Last Jedi only days away from hitting theaters and we just learned about a Star Wars / Game of Thrones connection. And it's more than Gwendoline Christie's feelings about Captain Phasma's armor.

In a new behind-the-scenes featurette for The Last Jedi, fans get a look into the filming locations that doubled for new worlds we'll be discovering in the film. Sorry to report, they did not go to Crait to film the battle, that was actually Bolivia -- even though they did a great job recreating the planet for The Last Jedi World Premiere in Los Angeles. But one particular filming location might look familiar to Game of Thrones fans.

The Last Jedi filmed in Dubrovnik, Croatia, home of Cersei Lannister aka King's Landing in Game of Thrones. Except in The Last Jedi, Dubrovnik is Canto Bight -- a casino city.

Considering what goes on in King's Landing, we're assuming Canto Bight will be a lot more fun or at the very least a lot less murdery. And who knows, maybe Captain Phasma will have more luck there than Brienne of Tarth did.
