While a game-changing third season is in the midst of turning the world of sexy 20-something magic-users on its head, SYFY announced today that its adaptation of author Lev Grossman's fantastical series The Magicians will return for a fourth season.
Season 3 is currently in the middle of its run on Wednesday nights, with Season 4 set to premiere sometime in 2019 -- hopefully with the magic turned back on. This season has seen Quentin Coldwater (Jason Ralph) and the rest of the Brakebills University squad thrust seaward on the ship Muntjac while magic's functionality in the world is now an uncertain element.
This has led to the show becoming increasingly experimental -- including the episode airing this Wednesday which splits the narrative into six separate perspectives (including a silent section from the viewpoint of a deaf character).
As the characters struggle to gather the necessary artifacts to reinstate their powers and fix their world, The Magicians gets even crazier and more willing to take storytelling risks -- which means its future has an exciting lack of limitations.
More details to come, but for now, let us know if you're excited for The Magicians Season 4!
