Netflix is all set to unleash the new Voltron: Legendary Defender animated series on June 10, and the streaming site has released a new clip and a bunch of images to whet our appetite for the new series.

To be released all at once so we can all sit back and relax binge-watch, the 13-episode series follows the crazy adventures of five teenagers who end up getting embroiled in a giant intergalactic war by piloting five robot lions, who become one larger robot known as the legendary Voltron.

The clip released centers on the discovery of the Blue Lion, with Lance (Jeremy Shada) feeling an eerie connection with the majestic robot: “Does anyone else get the feeling this is staring at them? Yeah, the eyes are totally following me.” From the clip below, it looks like it'll be a fun series I'm sure fans of the original 1980s cartoon (like I was) will love.

As for the images in the gallery below, they include stills and character bios, so dig in, and let us know what you think.

Here’s the official series synopsis:

The Netflix original series DreamWorks’ Voltron: Legendary Defender reimagines one of the most popular fan-favorite shows of all time in this all-new comedic action-packed show from executive producer Joaquim Dos Santos (The Legend of Korra, Avatar: The Last Airbender) and co-executive producer Lauren Montgomery (The Legend of Korra).

Five unsuspecting teenagers, transported from Earth into the middle of a sprawling intergalactic war, become pilots for five robotic lions in the battle to protect the universe from evil. Only through the true power of teamwork can they unite to form the mighty warrior known as Voltron.

Also starring in Voltron: Legendary Defender are Kimberly Brooks as Princess Allura, Rhys Darby as Coran, Josh Keaton as Shiro, Tyler Labine as Hunk, Jeremy Shada as Lance, Bex Taylor-Klaus as Pidge, Steven Yeun as Keith, Neil Kaplan as Emperor Zarkon and Cree Summer as Haggar. The series will stream on June 10.
