It's important for popular franchises to never forget their fans, without whom they'd never be as successful as they are. Case in point: a young Teen Titans Go! fan named Wagner invited the young superheroes to his birthday party and they actually answered, thanks to the show's Animation Director Eric J. Pringle, who had some free time over his winter break.
"A year or two ago, our fan Wagner wrote to the Titans inviting them to his birthday party," Pringle wrote in his Twitter post. "We thought it'd be nice if the Titans got back to him, so I animated this over my winter break. Please don't invite the Titans to your party, I like being on vacation."
He and the cast created a short video, wishing Wagner a "Happy Birthday!" and apologizing that they couldn't make his party, as they were fighting Brother Blood and his plan to take over Jump City.
Check out the 25-second birthday message below:
It features the main voices of Scott Menville (Robin), Greg Cipes (Beast Boy), Tara Strong (Raven), and Hynden Walch (Starfire). Khary Payton, who voices Cyborg, could also be in there at the end when they all speak in unison, but it's kind of hard to tell. Maybe he was busy filming The Walking Dead at the time this special message was being assembled.
Teen Titans Go! hit the big screen this summer with their very own feature-length movie, Teen Titans Go! To The Movies, that featured a bunch of A-list actors like Nic Cage and received very positive reviews. To date, the animated movie has made over $28 million worldwide against an estimated production budget of $10 million.
