One of the upsides of being in a show about vampires and the undead is that dying doesn't necessarily mean the end of your time in the series. On Van Helsing, characters' life spans have even more flexibility, given the relative ease of transitioning between living human an undead bloodsucker.
Both states have their upsides and downsides — it's delicious to chew scenery as a villain, but it requires a lot more time in the makeup chair. But not all transitions are impermanent, which sometimes leads to some very angry actors. Just ask Vincent Gale, aka Flesh, who seemed to have died in the second season finale. When he read the script for the first time, he was angry enough to burst in the producers' offices and yell "This is bullshit!"
Of course, the fact that he was telling this story with the rest of the cast of the show at San Diego Comic-Con is a bit of a spoiler in and of itself — and an indication that his impassioned outburst drew just may have helped bring him back to life.
