Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is almost upon us. To celebrate that fact, Sony's released a number of amazingly vibrant character posters for the different Spider-People we'll get to see in the upcoming animated film. Each poster reflects the reality that each character hails from — our two favorites are quite indicative of this.
The poster for Peni Parker (Kimiko Glenn) is clearly influenced by anime and manga, whilst the one for Spider-Man Noir (Nic Cage) is in stark black and white. There are also posters for Miles Morales (Shameik Moore), Peter Parker (Jake Johnson), Spider-Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld), and Spider-Ham (John Mulaney), all of whom team up to save the very fabric of the Spider-Verse from tearing itself apart after a foolish experiment by Wilson Fisk (Liev Schreiber).
Directed by Bob Persichetti (Puss in Boots), Peter Ramsey (Rise of the Guardians), and Rodney Rothman (Year One), Into the Spider-Verse is produced by esrtwhile Solo: A Star Wars Story directors, Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Lord co-wrote the screenplay with Rothman, based on a story by the former.
In addition to the voices mentioned above, the movie also stars Mahershala Ali (Miles's uncle, Prowler), Brian Tyree Henry (Miles's father, Jefferson Davis), Luna Lauren Velez (Miles's mother, Rio Morales), and Lily Tomlin (Aunt May Parker).
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse webs its way into theaters Dec. 14. That's basically a month from now. To pass the time, check out all of the new posters in the gallery below!
