If you have a couple extra days in your Halloween schedule, consider heading down to Spooky Empire. This horror convention in Orlando, Florida, is now entering its 16th year, and are celebrating their Sweet Sixteen with a huge get.
In honor of the 25th anniversary of the premiere of The X-Files, Spooky Empire has gathered the cast together for a reunion. David Duchovny (Fox Mulder), Gillian Anderson (Dana Scully), Mitch Pileggi (Walter Skinner), Annabeth Gish (Monica Reyes), Robert Patrick (John Doggett), Nicholas Lea (Alex Krycek), and William B. Davis (Cigarette Smoking Man) will all be there.
In addition to photograph and autograph opportunities, there will be plenty of other X-Files events, as well. Patrick will have his own panel (where he will certainly discuss Terminator 2). Duchovny and Anderson will have a panel together (if you can handle the chemistry between the two!), and Pileggi, Gish, Lea, and Davis will have a cast panel.
If The X-Files isn't your thing (how could it not be your thing?) there will be plenty else for you. Other guests include Cassandra Peterson, aka Elvira, Mistress of the Dark; Peter Criss from KISS; Kathy Najimy, there to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Hocus Pocus; Carl Weathers from the Rocky movies and the original Predator; Jen and Sylvia Soska, the Twisted Twins and directors of American Mary; Greg Cipes from Teen Titans Go!; Phil Anselmo of Pantera; Nivek Ogre from Skinny Puppy; and Joey Image from The Misfits. There will also be a House of 1,000 Corpses reunion with Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, Jennifer Jostyn, Robert Mukes, and Walter Phelan; as well as a Sleepaway Camp reunion with Felissa Rose, Katherine Kamhi, and Karen Fields; and a mini-Child's Play reunion with Christine Elise and Alex Vincent.
Still not enough? There will also be a tattoo festival with dozens of artists on hand to ink you up with a permanent reminder of Spooky Empire. There will be a film festival. There will be special effects makeup demonstrations and workshops. There will be panels on everything from publishing to ghost hunting to horror and comedy to women in genre. There will be a costume contest. And of course, a massive exhibitor room for you to spend all your money in!
