After co-starring in the Divergent movies with Shailene Woodley and the last two Underworld films alongside Kate Beckinsale, Theo James is now taking the lead in Netflix’s upcoming apocalyptic thriller, How It Ends.

According to Deadline, the Black List script written by Brooks McLaren (the announced Rambo: New Blood) “centers on a mysterious apocalyptic event that turns the roads into mayhem, and a young father (James) who will stop at nothing to get home to his pregnant wife on the other side of the country.”

In other words: ROAD TRIP!! Of the apocalyptic kind!! That’s always a winning combination in my book, with Mad Max instantaneously coming to mind.

The movie, to be directed by David M. Rosenthal (A Single Shot, the upcoming Jacob’s Ladder remake), is slated to start filming in Canada next month, with Paul Schiff, Tai Duncan, Kelly McCormick and Patrick Newall producing. The project was developed by Sierra/Affinity and Paul Schiff Productions, with the former handling worldwide sales and the movie’s financing. Sierra’s Nick Meyer and Marc Schaberg will serve as executive producers.

What do you think of Theo James starring in How It Ends? How do you like the premise? There's no premiere date just yet, but I hope we'll learn more as new cast members are announced.
