We’d heard a while back that some additional reshoots were underway on the long-awaited Mad Max sequel Fury Road — but now it sounds like they’re doing a lot more than that.
Star Tom Hardy has revealed that those reshoots aren’t actually reshoots. Instead, they’re full-fledged additional scenes that are being added to the film to flesh out the story. What are they adding? More plot, more action and more Max, apparently. Considering how long this one has been in the works, what's a few more months?
Though this could be troubling, we saw how well a rewrite/reshoot worked on the long-delayed World War Z, so we’re going to take this news with tentative optimism. For now. But we’re definitely getting anxious to have a real look at this 2014 sci-fi flick.
Watch a clip of Hardy’s interview with Flicks and the City above, and here’s an excerpt from his comments:
“[Mad Max is] great. It's a big piece. I'm off out there next week to do some re-shoots - well, not re-shoots actually, we're doing more. Building - building more Mad Max, there's even more spectacular."
What do you think? Should we be worried?
