20th Century Fox has released a brand-new trailer and poster for Pirates of the Caribbean helmer Gore Verbinski’s newest opus, A Cure for Wellness. Justin Haythe (The Lone Ranger) penned the script from a story by him and Verbinski.

The psychological horror thriller stars Dane DeHaan (Amazing Spider-Man 2), Mia Goth (Everest, the upcoming remake of Suspiria) and Jason Isaacs (Dig, The OA) in the director’s new film, which looks like a mix of mystery, thriller, horror and a bit of sci-fi. Seriously, what is that thing on DeHaan’s character’s finger?! And what's with that mysterious "cure" and that creepy spa that you can never leave? Sounds like Hotel California (you know, you can check-out any time you like, but you can never leave).

It’s a bit of a return to form for Verbinski who gave us one of the scariest, creepiest horror movies of the early 2000s and introduced Samara to an English-speaking audience with The Ring (2002), a remake of the Japanese film Ringu. The remake starred Naomi Watts and featured a cursed videotape (that's a blast from the bast) that caused the horrific deaths of the unlucky people who saw it. Verbinski's next offering is a bit different, and you can read up on the official synopsis before digging into the new trailer below. A Cure for Wellness opens on Feb. 17.

An ambitious young executive is sent to retrieve his company’s CEO from an idyllic but mysterious “wellness center” at a remote location in the Swiss Alps.  He soon suspects that the spa’s miraculous treatments are not what they seem.  When he begins to unravel its terrifying secrets, his sanity is tested, as he finds himself diagnosed with the same curious illness that keeps all the guests here longing for the cure.
