This high-tech Doctor Strange cosplay using holograms is blowing our minds

If Doctor Strange was an unexpectedly large part of Avengers: Infinity War, then his increased popularity after the controversial culmination of the MCU should be no surprise. The goateed master of the mystic arts had quite a hand in the events of the Thanos-based adventure and in his hands were the burning runes of his magic spells.

Now, one cosplayer has figured out how to replicate that CGI with technical wizardry. Check it out:

The link in the tweet goes to the website of the Life is Style Corporation-owned Phantom, which produces an LED display of the same name that rotate at varying speeds (some at 1200 RPM, others at 1800 RPM) to create a 3D effect for its image - be it an advertisement, like it shows in its product video below, or the magic arts of a Marvel comic book:

When correctly programmed, the fans can seem to project things like a Rubik’s Cube solving itself or a company name for a storefront. But who wouldn’t just use it for magic?
