We have less than two months to wait before the God of Thunder returns for a third not-so-solo adventure, and ahead of the Marvel movie’s debut, a new behind-the-scenes video for Thor: Ragnarok has made its merry way online, possibly revealing a major plot point.
Potential spoiers below!
By now, you’ve all seen the scene where the Asgardian goddess of death, Hela (Cate Blanchett), catches and shatters Thor’s (Chris Hemsworth) mighty hammer, Mjolnir. But a new BTS video released by ET Online may have revealed that director Taika Waititi (who is playing not one but three characters in the movie, as well as sitting in the director's chair) plans to reunite the Son of Odin with his hammer sometime during film.
The scene starts around the 17-second mark, where you can see a short-haired Thor (meaning this takes place later in the film) reaching out for what can only be Mjolnir. Question is: how on Asgard will that come about? I don’t know about you, but it’s going to be interesting to find out. Check it out:
Thor: Ragnarok will open on Nov. 3, and is the most anticipated movie of the fall, beating out Justice League, Blade Runner 2049, Kingsman: The Golden Circle and the just-released IT.
