Thor has dropped today. Oh, the trailer for Thor: Ragnarok dropped too. But here, Thor himself has also been beaten, abused, and gods, even shorn. It will be especially heroic if he pulls himself up with his impressive pectorals.

In this teaser, Chris Hemsworth gives another winning portrayal of the god of thunder, even with every odd stacked against him. We also get to meet Hela, played by Cate Blanchett, whose power will impress the most jaded fan. The Incredible Hulk also makes his deep space debut, complete with the armor that should be very familiar to fans of World War Hulk. But, it's okay, Thor knows him from work.

Sadly, Tom Hiddleston’s Loki was relegated to nothing more than a few smirks, but I have no doubt that the film itself—which will be released on November 3, 2017— will give him the screen time that his fans crave. Even Idris Elba's Heimdall loses his usual armor and seems to be fighting for his life out in the wild.

Thor: Ragnarok opens November 3.
