Three new Game of Thrones featurettes relive the ghoulish glory of Hardhome

Sunday's astonishing episode of Game of Thrones, "Hardhome," took us into the icy heart of an undead attack on the Wildlings' north-of-The-Wall outpost, with an army of resurrected corpses, warriors mounting a counter-charge and Wun-Wun the giant taking batting practice with a huge tree trunk.   As the bone dust settled and the ominous Night's King looked on from the dilapidated dock beside the Shivering Sea while reanimating the slain Wildlings, we were left in pure shock and awe.

Many fans consider it the highlight of the current Game of Thrones season, and, with just two episodes left before we say farewell to Westeros for the year, we can't wait to see what executive producers D.B. Weiss and David Benioff have concocted for the finale.

Until then, let's return to the scene of the slaughter with these new Game of Thrones behind-the-scenes featurettes, with its creators dissecting the episode's many facets, including the logistics and dynamics that went into the filming of the Wildling camp massacre, a look at Jorah Mormont's ongoing loyalty struggle with Daenerys, Sansa's moment of truth about her brothers and Tyrion's first engaging encounter with the Mother of Dragons.

Have a look, and let's hope that wall holds just a little longer!
