Spartacus: War of the Damned is coming, and we've got an exciting new trailer to share with you as well as two new videos featuring season three's new fascinating villains (including Julius Caesar and the until-now-elusive Marcus Crassus) and our not-so-merry band of rebels still resisting again and again Rome's long shadow.
But first, the truly epic brand-new trailer more than hints at what looks to be like one massively exciting last season that'll be as filled with gore and action-packed sequences as the previous ones were.
We'll definitely be missing this series. Have a look:
Romans villains video introduces us to our new triumvirate of big bad meanies in the form of Marcus Crassus (Simon Merrells), his son Tiberius (Christian Antidormi) and a rather wild-looking (and very blond) Julius Caesar (Todd Lasance). We gotta say, their take on Caesar looks rather interesting.
As for the third video, it looks like the tensions between our loinclothed hero Spartacus (Liam McIntyre) and his three generals Crixus (Manu Bennett), Gannicus (Dustin Clare) and Agron (Daniel Feuerriegel) are still running high. Will it lead to the rebels' undoing in the face of Rome's mighty power?
Though we doubt that any Spartacus villain can and will ever match John Hannah's fantastic Batiatus, let's hope the "villains" of season three will get us pumped for the new season.
Do you like what you see? Think those three new villains have what it takes to make Spartacus and his rebels' lives truly ... difficult for one last season?
Spartacus: War of the Damned returns Jan. 25, 2013, on Starz.
