Each undisputed heavyweight champion has its own merits and attractions but for our money, Tekken is the arena we most desire to return to when push comes to shove. It first burst onto the scene in 1994, and the seventh edition of the bruising, arcade-style combat game was just released this past summer for PS4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows, and it was another instant classic.
Titan Comics has a lock on the comic-book licensing of Tekken's tough gang of martial arts masters since it debuted the first tie-in title this year, with its high-flying, kick-crazy characters like Heihachi, Paul, King, Yoshimitsu, Gun Jack, Nina, Lars, Jin, Alisa, Paul Phoenix, Ogre, Panda, and dozens more.
Written by Cavan Scott (Doctor Who, Vikings) with art by Andie Tong (The Architect, Tron: Betrayal), Tekken: Blood Feud is a new, 112-page trade-paperback graphic novel that taps into the game's lasting legacy and collects the first four issues of the ongoing series that debuted back in May.
Here's the official solicitation synopsis:
