After going full-on sci-fi with the alien-invasion hit Falling Skies, TNT is ramping up a few more sci-fi-ish projects that could make it to air this fall. Among them? A post-pandemic thriller about a virus that takes out half the planet, and a new action drama that sounds quite a bit like Fox's late, comic-based Human Target.
The Last Ship, with Michael Bay directing, will follow crewmembers of a naval destroyer who wind up among the last survivors on Earth after a virus decimates the population.
The Human Target-ish series Legends, based on the novel of the same name by Robert Littell, is about a spy who goes deep into every assignment and transforms into a new person for each job.
