Tom Cruise has been injured during the filming of a stunt on the set of Mission Impossible 6 in London earlier today.
According to TMZ, the actor was attempting a stunt involving jumping from some rigging on a building when he fell and hit the building hard. In a video of the incident, you can see Cruise stumble while attempting to get back up, then collapse.
He was taken from the building by the film's safety team. The extent of his injuries is unknown. We have reached out to Paramount for comment.
Cruise is famous for doing his own stunts during his many action movie roles, especially those in the Mission: Impossible franchise. During the filming of Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol, the actor rappelled off the tallest building in the world. For the following film, he upped the ante by hanging off the side of a plane while it was taking off.
During an interview with Collider earlier this year, Mission: Impossible 6's producer -- and Skydance CEO -- David Ellison said that this film would mark another attempt by the actor to outdo himself, saying, "What Tom is doing in this movie I believe will top anything that’s come before. It is absolutely unbelievable—he’s been training for a year. It is going to be, I believe, the most impressive and unbelievable thing that Tom Cruise has done in a movie, and he has been working on it since right after Rogue Nation came out. It’s gonna be mind-blowing."
