It's been seven years, but Robert Langdon is back. Sony Pictures has released a first official trailer -- as well as an international trailer -- for director Ron Howard’s upcoming movie, Inferno.
Starring Tom Hanks and Felicity Jones (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Inferno is the third cinematic entry featuring the adventures of Robert Langdon, which kicked off with The Da Vinci Code (2006), followed by Angels and Demons (2009).
Inferno is actually based on the fourth novel in author Dan Brown’s book series featuring the professor of religious iconology and symbology -- The Lost Symbol being the third (and as-of-yet unadapted) novel. Have a look at the trailers below and let us know what you think:
Here’s a short synopsis:
When Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia, he teams up with Dr. Sienna Brooks (Felicity Jones). Together, they race across Europe and against the clock to foil a deadly global plot.
The movie will also star Ben Foster (X-Men: The Last Stand), Omar Sy (Jurassic World, X-Men: Days of Future Past) and Irrfan Kahn (Jurassic World).
Inferno will arrive into movie theaters on Oct. 28, 2016.
