We're one step closer to that solo Venom movie, as Tom Hardy confirmed on Instagram that he has wrapped on all of his scenes. "Wrapped life back bye," he wrote in a post that showed off his muscular and tattooed back in what appears to be a makeup trailer.
Directed by Zombieland's Ruben Fleischer, production on Venom began back in October, with key scenes being filmed in New York and Atlanta. Earlier this month, filming moved to San Francisco since the movie draws from classic '90s storylines such as Lethal Protector.
Hardy has been chronicling the Venom shoot on his Instagram over the last few weeks through various pictures with the crew.
Whether or not principal photography is 100 percent completed is unclear. There could still be some minor unfilmed scenes by both the first and second directorial units. Even so, Hardy, who is playing Eddie Brock, could be recalled for reshoots and pickups as post-production gets underway.
Venom swings into theaters on October 5 and co-stars Michelle Williams (Ann Weying), Jenny Slate, Riz Ahmed, Reid Scott, and Scott Haze. At one point, Woody Harrelson was in talks to play a villain, but no further news has been released on that front. However, it was confirmed in July that Carnage would be the film's main antagonist.
