Loki's been a bad boy. In fact, he's been the big baddie for both last year's Thor and this summer's hit movie The Avengers. Heck, he's been so bad (in a good way) that he's even returning for an another encore in Thor: The Dark World. But will Loki make another return to be a pain in the butt for Earth's Mightiest Heroes in The Avengers 2?
Tom Hiddleston, who plays Loki, has spoken to MSN and has revealed that he doubts Loki will make a return appearance on The Avengers 2.
"I don't know, and that really is the honest answer. I know I've been known for obfuscation in other quarters, but I have no idea.
"I haven't spoken to Joss. He's definitely doing it. So I suspect not, only because I think that probably the audiences are tired of Loki being the bad guy. Maybe the Avengers need somebody else to fight.
"But I'd love to be part of it again."
And we'd love him to be part of it again too, but maybe Hiddleston is right and The Avengers 2 does need another Big Bad *cough* Thanos *cough* to seriously beat the crap out of.
Still, would you guys want to see Loki return for Joss Whedon's Avengers sequel, or would you rather have a brand-new villain? Do you think Loki could ever fight on the good guys' side?
In any case, Hiddleston will be back as Loki for Thor: The Dark World, which will thunderously arrive in theaters on Nov. 8, 2013.
