Funko Disneyland 65 anniversary

THE HAPPIEST TOY BOX ON EARTH

Disneyland is turning… gasp… 65 years old! Can you believe it? Just because we can’t go to the park at this moment doesn’t mean we can’t still sing our praises and adoration for the best amusement park in the world. (And those lines, they feel about 65 years long, am I right?!) Ah, it feels good to be this funny, I tells ya. Coming this month are some delightful new Pop! figures from Funko, celebrating and commemorating the Happiest Place on Earth. Which ones will you be adding to your collection? We have the 65th Anniversary Castle with Mickey Pop!, Casey Jr. train with Mickey, Casey Jr. train with Donald, Casey Jr. train with Minnie, Matterhorn Donald, Lederhosen Mickey, Lederhosen Donald, and a whole box of 12 amazing character blind boxes! (For the record, Peter Pan and Captain Hook are my total favorites).

Mattel WW 84 Golden

PRINCESS DIANA OF TOYSCIRA

Wonder Woman 1984 is coming out in October, finally. With the '80s coursing through the veins of the entire film and so many fun designs, there’s no way it won’t be a winner, but I can’t casually afford Hot Toys or any premium toy like that. Which is why when I saw this incredible light up Golden Wonder Woman, I knew I had to have it. This entire line is a whole new level of glory from Mattel. This Wonder Woman doll promptly found a home with my other Warrior Babe dolls (like She-Ra, Golden Girl, and others). The wingspan and details are next-level, and everyone at Mattel should be so proud of these spectacular, muscular, perfectly designed creations. You can get yours today for $34.99 and they are shipping now. I really think this line is strong enough for collectors in spite of the child’s toy price tag — the muscles and details in the WW1984 set is breathtaking.

LEGO WW84

WLEGONDER WLEGOMAN

LEGO DC Wonder Woman brings together three classic characters from the Wonder Woman comic book in a buildable, play-and-display action scene. Superhero fans of any age can build their own recreation of a superhero battle between Wonder Woman and Cheetah — as seen on the cover of the classic Wonder Woman comic. As the model features the same iconic characters as the Wonder Woman 1984 movie — Wonder Woman and Cheetah — it’s also the ideal gift for fans of the blockbuster movie. The three collectible minifigures are displayed in an outdoor environment set on a sturdy base. It costs $39.99, ships in October 2020, and is available to preorder from Walmart today.

Hasbro Marvel Legends Dr. Doom

FOOL! DOCTOR DOOM TOYS AS HE PLEASES!

We’ve hit the end, my toy collecting friends, but we couldn’t wrap an issue of Important Toy News without at least one Marvel Legends figure, am I right? A new Dr. Doom in the Marvel retro line has appeared. Much like the Spider-Man retro wave, this takes you back to the '90s and the Fantastic Four cartoon on Fox Kids. The retro packaging is a disguise for Marvel legends scale and stylization of the most fearsome foe Dr. Doom. This sculpt is beyond amazing, you can see the armor under the robes of doom. Jet boosters hidden under the cape, clasps on the leg armor — it is really something. Not to mention the color pallet is spot-on and a great addition to any Marvel collection. It costs $19.99, ships November 2020, and can be ordered today from Amazon.
