Here's a chilling preview of Dark Horse's Prometheus: Fire and Stone #1, continuing the Alien saga following the ill-fated scientific mission in Ridley Scott's Prometheus.  After a rescue team are ordered back to LV-223 to investigate, they make a grisly discovery in an alien killing field and test some familiar black goo, with dire consequences.  The new series is meant to intertwine with Dark Horse's relaunch of the Aliens, Predator and Aliens vs. Predator titles and their shared universe, but not necessarily to stick to the films' strict continuity.

Written by Paul Tobin with art by Juan Ferreyra and cover courtesy of David Palumbo, Prometheus: Fire and Stone #1  strikes comic shop shelves Sept. 10, 2014.

Think this new Prometheus comic could fix some lingering questions, or will it foul the waters even more?
