Coming into its sixth year, HBO’s hit fang-banging series True Blood has already staked a few stars along the way, but it sounds like the new season will also have its fair share of bloodshed.

Potential spoilers ahead!

With season six set to debut on June 16, some early details are starting to leak out with production well underway. In an interview with TV Line, actor Joe Manganiello (werewolf Alcide Herveaux) teased that they’re getting to the point in the shooting schedule now where they’ve already shed a few co-stars. Heck, episode seven is titled “The Funeral.” That can’t be good.

One rumored casualty? Vampire Eric Northam, played by Alexander Skarsgard, who some fans believe could bite the dust this year. It wouldn’t be the first time the show has taken a shocking turn, and knocking off a beloved character is always a viable option when a show gets late into its run.

So what did Manganiello have to say about those rumors?

“We’re getting to the point in the season now where people are starting to die. The table reads are starting to get smaller, and I’m sure they will continue to do that ... “I think [the producers] looked at some things that went on with Alcide last season, and thought, ‘How can we top that or how can we get even racier?’ And I think they’ve succeeded… Right out of the gate, it’s really juicy.”

Teasing? Sure. But it does sound like a few fan favorites could get the ax this season. So who do you think will fail to make it out of season six alive (or undead)?
