True Blood ends strong, Warehouse 13 rises + 23 other genre shows

More new fall shows are right around the corner, and the summer series continue to march toward their conclusions. This week True Blood ended a very robust 2012 reign atop the cable ratings, while Futurama, Saving Hope and Lost Girl head into their home stretches.

We've also made another small formatting change this week, in that we've removed all the shows we'll never see again from our listings. So all of last season's canceled shows (Terra Nova, Alcatraz, A Gifted Man, etc.) and shows that ended their runs (Chuck, Eureka) will no longer be appearing here. But don't worry, because we've got a lot of new shows to keep track of in the coming weeks, so it'll definitely stay crowded with info around here.

Check out our chart and commentary for more on how your favorite shows are doing in Live + Same Day viewers and rating.

Warehouse 13 (Syfy)1.86 million viewers/0.6

Warehouse 13 got a big boost Monday, picking up its highest viewership since the season premiere plus a tenth of a ratings point. It's not as strong as it was this time last season, but it's definitely not weak.

Alphas (Syfy)1.37 million viewers/0.5

After a very low night last week Alphas bounced back with quite a few more viewers and a tenth of a ratings point. It's still not back at season premiere strength, but it's definitely proving that it's got some resiliency.

Grimm (NBC)4.90 million viewers/1.7/5 share

Grimm lost some viewers and three tenths of a ratings point, but it still had a better night than most of the latter half of last season. Of course, we've yet to see how it will perform against a full lineup of other new shows, but for now there's reason to be confident.

Being Human (Syfy) — Returns Jan. 14, 2013

Teen Wolf (MTV) — Returns 2013

Futurama (Comedy Central)1.07 million viewers/0.6

Futurama lost a few viewers but broke even in ratings score this week. Consistency is good, gains would be better, but as the show nears the end of its 2012 run we already know more episodes are on the way, so there's a little bit of security there.

American Horror Story (FX) — Returns October 2012

Saving Hope (NBC)2.87 million viewers/0.6/2 share

Saving Hope took a little bit of a hit this week in viewers, but it broke even in ratings and share. It's probably good that it'll be off the air before most of the Thursday powerhouses premiere, but despite only modest numbers it's already got another season in the works.

Tron: Uprising (DISNEY XD)—OFF

No Tron: Uprising this week. The season finale will arrive this fall.

Wilfred (FX)0.83 million viewers/0.4

Wilfred took another drop this week after finally getting back to the 1 million viewer mark last week. When you compare these numbers to last year's, it definitely looks like this show just has a smaller audience (though not drastically smaller) this time around. That doesn't mean it's doomed, but it does mean things will be harder going forward.

Lost Girl (Syfy)1.0 million viewers/0.3

Lost Girl had a bit of an off week, dropping to its lowest viewership since July 16 and its lowest rating since May 21. One million viewers isn't too bad, though, and we'll see if it can climb again as we head into the final episodes of the season.

True Blood (HBO)5.04 million viewers/2.8

Last week True Blood earned its highest rating score since the season premiere back in June. For its season finale this week it held on to that score and managed to top the 5 million viewer mark for the first time since the premiere, matching the mark set by the season-four finale. Not only is the show still doing well, but it's (mostly) holding up year-to-year. We'll see it again in 2013.
