It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas as Christmas-themed episodes and holiday movies, including one with Summer Glau as an elf, take over the schedule. But the real Christmas present comes in getting a new Fringe this week. Meanwhile, Supernatural sinks its teeth into a vampire-themed midseason finale, while Ghost Hunters signs off for its eight season.

Also this week, Brennan and the gang consider life after death in a case involving a boy on Bones, Oliver and the Huntress connect on Arrow, Ian McShane plays a demented Santa on American Horror Story: Asylum, answers are revealed on Last Resort, Amy gets sick on The Big Bang Theory, Damon and Stefan go to New Orleans on The Vampire Diaries, Vincent's past is revealed on Beauty & the Beast, a sick Holmes digs into the murder of a college professor, a deep sleep strikes the town on Haven, a mannequin comes to life in Lifetime's Holly's Holiday, and disaster strikes times 12 in Syfy's movie The 12 Disasters of Christmas.

Here's what we have to look forward to this week on sci-fi, fantasy and paranormal TV.
