TV THIS WEEK: Inhumans finale, Star Trek midseason break, new Walking Dead and more

If you've stuck with Marvel and ABC's Inhumans limited series — or just interested to see how it all wraps up — the season (and quite possibly series) finale airs this week. But there’s still a whole lot of other stuff to catch, too.

Along with Inhumans, CBS All Access’ Star Trek: Discovery is also set to say goodbye, for a few months at least. The midseason finale this week puts the streaming series on hiatus until January 2018. But thankfully, those are about the only two shows saying goodbye this week.

We have new installments of The CW's superhero slate, with Katee Sackhoff coming to The Flash, and Deathstroke's return on Arrow. Oh, and the Legends of Tomorrow are taking on Victorian-era vampires. SYFY's slate is also fresh, with Ghost Wars, Superstition, Z Nation, and Van Helsing all slaying demons and apparitions with new episodes. Fox's excellent The Gifted is also new this week, so don't sleep on that one.

Arrow (The CW), Thursday 9PM - "Deathstroke Returns"

NEW: Joe is taken hostage by mercenaries and the mission to rescue him gets complicated by a terrible revelation that could shatter Slade's hopes of reunion forever. Meanwhile, Vigilante reappears in Star City.


Ghost Wars (SYFY), Thursday 10PM - "We Need to Talk About Abigail"

NEW: Val's twin daughter, Abigail, goes missing. Jimmy leads the charge to find the young girl, employing Roman's medium skills and anyone else who's willing to search in the forest on the outskirts of town.


Marvel's Inhumans (ABC), Friday 9PM - "... And Finally: Black Bolt"

SEASON FINALE: The final showdown occurs between Black Bolt and Maximus, and it takes an unexpected turn, resulting in lasting consequences for all of Inhumanity.


Star Trek: Discovery (CBS All Access) Sunday 8:30PM - "Into the Forest I Go"

MIDSEASON FINALE: The midseason finale of CBS All Access' largely well-received new Trek series. The show is slated to return, along with its brewing Klingon cold war, in January 2018.


The Walking Dead (AMC), Sunday 9PM - "Some Guy"

NEW: The war with Negan's forces continues, complete with car chases, zombies and a whole lot of shooting.


Lucifer (Fox), Monday 8PM - "Vegas With Some Radish"

NEW: When Lucifer discovers his ex-fake-wife, Candy, has gone missing, he hightails it to Las Vegas with Ella in tow. Together, the two of them work to find her, but interesting secrets are revealed along the way that could compromise the investigation. Meanwhile, Chloe is upset that Lucifer left on her birthday, so Linda tries to lift her spirits.


Supergirl (The CW), Monday 8PM - "Damage"

NEW: Multiple children get sick from lead poisoning and Morgan Edge blames Lena for creating the lead bomb she made to save National City from the Daxamites. Meanwhile, Alex and Maggie make a crucial decision about the future of their relationship.


Star Wars Rebels (Disney XD), Monday 9PM - "Kindred," "Crawler Commandeers"

NEW: The rebels must trust some seemingly dangerous native creatures when they are tracked back to their hidden base by a mysterious Imperial agent. Then the Ghost crew pirates a mining vehicle equipped with long-range communications gear.


The Gifted (Fox), Monday 9PM - "got your siX"

NEW: Determined to find out more about what Sentinel Services did to an old friend of his, Thunderbird spearheads a mission to get answers. Meanwhile, Lauren encounters a new friend with useful powers; and Blink makes a big decision regarding her future.


Scorpion (CBS), Monday 10PM - "Go With the Flo(rence)"

NEW: While tracking a device that can prevent a nuclear meltdown through the Los Angeles sewers, Walter learns the nuances of listening and not offering advice to Paige. Also, Team Scorpion meets Florence, their new neighbor at the garage, after she sends a mix of smelly chemicals through their shared ventilation as a warning to keep the noise down,


The Flash (The CW), Tuesday 8PM - "Girls Night Out"

NEW: Caitlin receives an ominous threat from her old boss, Amunet, and fears her past time as Killer Frost may be back to haunt her. Meanwhile, Felicity comes to Central City to help the girls celebrate Iris' bachelorette party; and Cisco, Joe and the guys take Barry out for a night on the town.


DC's Legends of Tomorrow (The CW), Tuesday 9PM - "Return of the Mack"

NEW: The Legends journey to London in 1897 to hunt down a time-traveling vampire. Once there, they run into Rip, but not everyone welcomes him back so quickly. Meanwhile, Stein discovers what Ray and Jax are up to and is not pleased.


American Horror Story: Cult (FX), Tuesday 10PM - "Charles (Manson) in Charge"

NEW: Episode 10 of American Horror Story: Cult.


Riverdale (The CW), Wednesday 8PM - "Chapter Eighteen: When a Stranger Calls"

NEW: Alice publishes a fiery piece in the Riverdale Register and Jughead tries to keep the peace; Betty receives an ultimatum that could destroy some of her closet relationships; Hiram and Hermoine court investors for the SoDale open house; Veronica welcomes old friend Nick St. Clair to town, but his plans for a wild night takes an unexpected turn.


Mr. Robot (USA), Wednesday 10PM - "Eps3.4_Runtime-Error.R00"

NEW: E Corp is in chaos. In other events, Elliot is on the run and Darlene comes to help.


The Shannara Chronicles (Spike), Wednesday 10PM - "Crimson"

NEW: Time is of the essence when Wil and Mareth travel to uncharted territory to recover an item.


Gotham (Fox), Thursday 8PM - "A Dark Knight: Stop Hitting Yourself"

NEW: Grundy and Nygma become main attractions at Cherry's Place in the Narrows; Penguin wants revenge when he hears Nygma is mocking him on stage and enlists the Sirens for help; and Gordon is offered the position of GCPD captain, putting him at odds with Bullock.


Supernatural (The CW), Thursday 8PM - "Advanced Thanatology"

NEW: Sam and Dean investigate a case involving the ghost of a demented doctor and get assistance from Billie. Meanwhile, Castiel finds his way back to the Winchesters.


The Big Bang Theory (CBS), Thursday 8PM - "The Geology Methodology"

NEW: Sheldon and Bert collaborate on a research project, despite Sheldon's embarrassment. Also, Penny and Bernadette coach Koothrappali on how to navigate his relationship with Ruchi.


Arrow (The CW), Thursday 9PM - "Deathstroke Returns"

Van Helsing (SYFY), Thursday 9PM - "Veritas Vincit"

NEW: Vanessa's past rushes back to confront her in an unexpected way; a secret that Doc has been protecting is revealed; and in a bid to bolster his power, Dmitri sends Scab on an impossible mission.


The Orville (Fox), Thursday 9PM - "Cupid's Dagger"

NEW: The Orville is called to mediate a peace treaty between two warring cultures, but tensions run even higher between Ed and Kelly when a familiar face boards the ship. Meanwhile, Yaphit declares his love for Dr. Finn with surprising results.

Blindspot (NBC), Friday 8PM - "Upside Down Craft"

NEW: While Jane and Weller hunt down a collective of dangerous computer hackers, Patterson and Rich Dot Com must work together to hide an explosive secret from their past.


MacGyver (CBS), Friday 8PM - "Duct Tape + Jack"

NEW: MacGyver uses a heater and tabasco sauce to help a key presidential candidate in Ecuador receive a heart transplant he desperately needs after a rebel group tries to sabotage delivery of the organ.


Once Upon a Time (ABC), Friday 8PM - "Wake Up Call"

The latest episode of ABC's fairytale drama.


K.C. Undercover (Disney XD), Friday 8:30PM - "The Truth Will Set You Free"

NEW: K.C. tells her family and the Organization that Brady is an enemy with the Alternate, so the Coopers secretly work with Marisa to set a new plan in motion to catch him.

Josh Gates' Destination Truth (Travel), Friday 9PM - "Lost Incan City and an Alaskan Beast"

NEW: Josh Gates treks to Peru to investigate the ruins of a lost Incan city after reports claim there are phantom noises and a powerful presence in the area. Then, he searches the frozen tundra of Alaska for giant winged creature.

Z Nation (SYFY), Friday 9PM - "Warren's Wedding"

NEW: Shaken by the death of one of the team, something snaps in Murphy, and Warren is unable to stop him and the others from committing an atrocity as misplaced revenge.


Marvel's Inhumans (ABC), Friday 9PM - "... And Finally: Black Bolt"

The Exorcist (Fox), Friday 9PM - "Darling Nikki"

NEW: A visit to the foster home carries deadly consequences, as Marcus and Father Tomas attempt to draw the demon out of hiding. Rose finds herself the target of the demon's wrath. And no one suspects that a new danger may be lurking in the woods, waiting for its moment to strike. Meanwhile, Father Bennett and Mouse take the fight directly to the conspiracy as they attempt to hunt down an old adversary.


Superstition (SYFY), Friday 10PM - "Through the Looking Glass"

NEW: May is sucked into a mysterious mirror world. The Hastingses must save her before the witch that inhabits the mirror world escapes using May's comatose body as a free ride.


Futurama (SYFY), All-day Saturday - Network premiere marathon

SYFY has picked up the rights to the full series run of Futurama, and will kick it off in grand fashion with an epic, all-weekend marathon. Get reacquainted with the Planet Express gang in glorious HD.


Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency (BBC America), Saturday 9PM - "Shapes and Colors"

NEW: The case seems to take a major turn in the latest episode of BBC America's cult hit detective series.


Outlander (Starz), Sunday 8PM - "The Doldrums"

Claire and Jamie leave Scotland, sailing to the West Indies on an urgent quest. When the superstitious crew looks for someone to blame after a string of bad luck, rescue comes from an unlikely source.


Star Trek: Discovery (CBS All Access) Sunday 8:30PM - "Into the Forest I Go"

Ghosted (Fox), Sunday 8:30PM - "Sam"

While Captain Lafrey is out, Annie installs a smooth-talking artificial intelligence, "Sam," to manage the office, but Max and Leroy are put to the test when "Sam" turns out to be an evil and powerful force trying to take down the Bureau Underground. All the while, Max is jealous when Leroy makes a new friend.


The Walking Dead (AMC), Sunday 9PM - "Some Guy"

The Last Man on Earth (Fox), Sunday 9:30PM - "Double Cheeseburger"

Carol's pregnancy takes an unexpected turn, and while Tandy feels ready to face the challenge head on, Gail is concerned and wants to intervene. Meanwhile, Melissa discourages Todd's baby fever.
