The holidays are behind us, 2019 is officially underway, and the regular season is finally starting to resume. This week we have several fall premieres/returns on the schedule, including some genre heavy hitters — plus an intriguing series premiere.

History is debuting its alien invasion drama Project Blue Book, based on the real-life military investigation wing into UFOs. The series is getting some solid early buzz and could be an interesting genre period piece. NBC's breakout hit series Manifest returns this week, along with The Good Place. Fox's The Gifted is also back from hiatus, though if the ratings don't improve, the show could be winding down its second and final season pretty soon.

Outside of those, there's also plenty of new stuff. Gotham continues its absolutely bonkers final season on Fox; Starz has a new Outlander; History has a new Vikings; and CBS has the return of The Big Bang Theory (in the midst of its own final season).

Check out our full rundown below and let us know what you think.
