TV THIS WEEK: Reverie debuts, bonus Lucifer, Lake Placid goes horror, iZombie finale

Lucifer may be canceled, but it’s not exactly gone just yet. Oh, and NBC has a mind-bending new sci-fi-ish series to help fill the void during the summer slowdown.

NBC is debuting the new series Reverie this week. The show follows a young woman who is tasked with saving people who have become “lost” inside a virtual reality program. The premise certainly sounds like it could be a trip, if they can pull it off. SYFY is also dropping its original horror flick Lake Placid: Legacy, which looks to take a more straight-up sci-fi horror vibe with the B-movie concept. Even better, it stars about half the cast of Wynonna Earp.

Fox may have already pulled the plug on its fantasy cop series Lucifer, but the network did so with two extra episodes still in the can (though they are both set before the series' finale cliffhanger). The network plans to burn them off as “bonus episodes” to celebrate Memorial Day, so fans at least have one last hurrah to say goodbye.

Looking to finales, The CW is wrapping the latest season of critical hit iZombie, while FX is bidding a final farewell to its genre-adjacent, period-set spy thriller The Americans. Both are great. If you're not caught up on either, summer is the perfect time to binge.

Check out our full rundown below and let us know what you’ll be watching.
