Pretty much everything has dropped off the schedule to make way for Christmas, but thankfully, one fan-favorite series is making its long-awaited return this week. Who's ready to save Rufus?

The big story this week is the two-hour series finale of NBC's twice-canceled time-travel series Timeless, which was picked up for a final two hours to wrap up lingering cliffhangers and storylines. It's a testament to fan fervor that the series made it this far at all, and though they would've obviously liked a few more seasons, getting a series finale pick-up is no small consolation prize. With little competition, it's the perfect chance to see what all the fuss is about.

Beyond that, the cupboard is bare. SYFY has new episodes of Z Nation and Van Helsing; NBC has a new Midnight, Texas; History has a new Vikings; Starz has new Outlander and Counterpart; and CBS has holiday classic A Charlie Brown Christmas. We've also rounded up a few movies to fill the void, including The Fifth Element, Limitless, Elf, and Star Trek Beyond.

Check out our full rundown below and let us know what you'll be watching.
