TV THIS WEEK: Doctor Who celebrates its 50th anniversary, Atlantis and more!

BBC America is giving us an entire week of Doctor Who, with fan-favorite episodes, marathons and brand-new specials that all lead up to the 50th-anniversary special episode, “The Day of the Doctor,” starring Matt Smith and David Tennant. And the network will premiere its new fantasy series, Atlantis.

Also this week, Kennex and Dorian delve into some trouble involving sexbots on Almost Human, Ichabod and the others attempt to interrogate Headless on Sleepy Hollow, Cat invites Vincent to Thanksgiving on Beauty and the Beast, it's a Thor sequel on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Ravenswood has its midseason finale, Dean's past comes to light on Supernatural, Reese's number comes up on Person of Interest, Aaron's superpower is explored on Revolution, Seth Gabel returns as the Count on Arrow, Stephen's powers are taken away from him on The Tomorrow People, and Fiona explores a dangerous love affair on American Horror Story: Coven.

And Thanksgiving offers insights for the gang at The Big Bang Theory, Alice goes home on Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, Elena and Caroline throw a party on The Vampire Diaries, Holmes and Watson take on a serial killer on Elementary, ghost hunters come to Haven, Syfy enlists the Cigarette Smoking Man for its latest tornado/big-thing-we-can-hurl-at-people movie in Stonadoes, and the Governor's story continues on The Walking Dead.

The Originals, Grimm, Dracula and Once Upon a Time are off this week.

Doctor Who: The Doctors Revisited Marathon (BBC America) 9 a.m.

It's Doctor Who Takeover Week! Yep, it's Doctor Who all week long as the long-running series takes over BBC America leading up to Saturday's 50th-anniversary special episode, “The Day of the Doctor.” Go behind the scenes with the First through the Tenth Doctors on today's marathon.

Almost Human (Fox) 8 p.m. - “Skin”

Part two of the two-part series premiere! Kennex and Dorian investigate a murder and missing persons case that involves IRCs, Intimate Robot Companions, or sexbots.

Doctor Who: Tales From the TARDIS (BBC America) 9 p.m.

A Doctor Who special! Actors and producers share their memories of the series. The all-new special also delves into the advances in filming from the 1960s to today. Interviews include Matt Smith, David Tennant, Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Jenna Coleman, Karen Gillan, Freema Agyeman, William Russell and Steven Moffat.

Sleepy Hollow (Fox) 9 p.m. - “Necromancer”

Ichabod and the gang interrogate Headless, which is no small feat, considering his lack of a head and all. However, Ichabod is shocked when he discovers the Horseman's true motive.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (ABC) 8 p.m. - “The Well”

Thor alert! After the events of Thor: The Dark World, Agent Coulson and his team try to clean up the mess left on Earth, but one little bit of fallout causes lots of trouble.

Ravenswood (ABC Family) 8 p.m. - “Scared to Death”

Midseason finale! Caleb runs into a dead end in his investigation, Miranda may be in danger, and Remy discovers a clue about how to break the curse.

Supernatural (The CW) 9 p.m. - “Bad Boys”

Dean gets a blast from the past when an old friend with a ghost issue asks him to return to a home for delinquent boys where he was once sent for stealing food. Meanwhile, Sam's shocked when he learns about Dean's history with the home and wants to know more.

Face Off (Syfy) 9 p.m. - “Naked and Painted”

Special episode! McKenzie Westmore hosts the hour, which brings in the cast of Naked Vegas and former Face Off contestants to explore the art of body painting.

Person of Interest (CBS) 10 p.m. - “The Crossing”

Part two of a three-part event! Reese's number comes up. Meanwhile, the team take a hit in their efforts to take down HR.

Revolution (NBC) 8 p.m. - “Everyone Says I Love You”

Will we finally find out what's going on with Aaron this week? We'll see. Meanwhile, Rachel tries to forgive her father, and Neville gives Jason a proclamation.

Arrow (The CW) 8 p.m. - “State v. Queen”

Seth Gabel alert! When a mysterious sickness infects Diggle and hundreds of other people in the city, it looks like Count Vertigo is back. Gable returns to play the Count. We're also guessing the episode's title has a little something to do with Mama Queen's murder trial.

Jedikiah tries to teach Stephen a lesson when he discovers he's using his powers for fun. Meanwhile, John suspects things aren't quite the same between Cara and himself.

PBS offers two episodes of Nova (8 & 9 p.m.). First, the series examines a high-flying weather observation plane in “At the Edge of Space.” Then it's a look at asteroids in “Asteroid: Doomsday or Payday?” On the Science Channel's Beyond the Wormhole With Morgan Freeman (9 p.m.), the episode delves into whether the cosmos could be a superorganism on “Living Space.” On Syfy's Paranormal Witness (9 p.m.), a senior exorcist trained at the Vatican in Rome tells his story on “The Exorcist.” And on Syfy's season-two finale of Ghost Mine (10 p.m.), the miners go after the mother lode, and Kristen and Patrick go after their own mother lode in an attempt to solve the unexplained mysteries of the Crescent.

The Neighbors (ABC) 8:30 p.m. - “Thanksgiving Is No Schmuck Bait”

It's Thanksgiving at the Weavers, and Marty's dad shows up proclaiming that he and Marty's mom are getting a divorce. Meanwhile, Jackie's parents also pop by for a visit.

An Adventure in Space and Time (BBC America) 9 p.m.

A How-Doctor-Who-Began film alert! On Nov. 23, 1963, the television legend began, and here's the film that tells the story of how that happened. Back then an unlikely trio of misfits came together to create a genre series that would “keep the sports fans and kids hooked”. The film stars David Bradley, Jessica Raine and Brian Cox.

Haven (Syfy) 10 p.m. - “Shot in the Dark”

When a reality series of paranormal hunters comes to Haven to investigate reports of a mythological monster, the town's secret might just be exposed to the entire world.

Doctor Who (BBC America) 8 p.m. - “The Day of the Doctor”

50th-anniversary special episode! The Doctors (Matt Smith and David Tennant) find themselves on their greatest adventure yet. In 1562 a treacherous plot takes hold in Elizabethan England, and in the present, London's National Gallery is the site of a terrible awakening. Meanwhile, the Doctor's past returns to haunt him. The special episode also stars Jenna Coleman, Billie Piper and John Hurt. Hurt will play the War Doctor, and the Daleks will return, as well as a bunch of others from the series, in this “love letter to the fans.”

Kristin's Christmas Past (Lifetime) 8 p.m.

In this Chistmas movie, Shiri Appleby stars as a woman who falls asleep alone on Christmas Eve and wakes up to find herself in 1996 on Christmas morning, which was the worst Christmas of her life. However, this time she's determined to change her past, and perhaps her unhappy future as well. The film also stars Revolution's Elizabeth Mitchell, Disney's Debby Ryan and '80s icon Judd Nelson.

Atlantis (BBC America) 9 p.m. - “The Earth Bull”

Series premiere! Jason's hunt for his missing father takes him to the strange and mysterious Altantis, where he meets new friends and finds himself involved in a deadly ritual. From the guys that brought us Merlin.

Stonados (Syfy) 9 p.m.

Forget Sharknado! Hurling big rocks at people has got to be better than throwing sharks at them. Right? The Cigarette Smoking Man (aka William B. Davis), Paul Johanssen and Sebastian Spence star in this silliness about a freak weather system that threatens to take out Boston.

On the Cartoon Network, there's new episodes on Ben 10: Omniverse (9:30 a.m.) and Teen Titans Go! (10 a.m.). On BBC America, The Graham Norton Show (10 p.m.) offers up even more Doctor Who, with Matt Smith and David Tennant. On LMN's Celebrity Ghost Stories (9 p.m.), the stories come from Marlee Matlin, Kim Carnes and Robert Carradine. Then, on the channel's The Haunting Of... (10 p.m.), actor D.B. Sweeney returns to a haunted motel in Fort Bragg, Calif., where he had a terrifying experience.

Sunday, Nov. 24

Doctor Who (BBC America) 9 a.m. - The Matt Smith Countdown

Doctor Who Takeover alert! The top 11 episodes from the Eleventh Doctor as voted on by fans.

Doctor Who: The Doctors Revisited (BBC America) 8 p.m. - “The Eleventh Doctor”

Matt Smith alert! Smith, Jenna Coleman and lead writer Steven Moffat delve into all things involving the Eleventh Doctor. Then two episodes are aired, “The Impossible Astronaut” and “Day of the Moon.

The Walking Dead (AMC) 9 p.m. - “Dead Weight”

In the penultimate episode before the fall finale, it looks like we're getting another Governor episode. In the episode, as the Governor seeks to protect those he cares about, challenges abound.

And you can catch Talking Dead at 10 p.m., with host Chris Hardwick chatting up all the episode's developments with guest stars from the series and other non-Walkind Dead superfan stars.

Defending Santa (ION) 9 p.m.

TV movie alert! Dean Cain stars as Sheriff Scott Hanson, a ski resort sheriff, who ends up arresting Santa for a crime. When Santa goes on trial, Hanson finds himself falling for Santa's attorney. The movie also stars Jud Tylor, Bill Lewis, Jamie McRae, Cooper Barnes, Jodie Sweetin, Seth Menachem and John Savage.

Witches of East End (Lifetime) 10 p.m. - “Snake Eyes”

Wendy and Joanna battle it out over whether to keep a secret Joanna's had for a hundred years. Meanwhile, Freya is threatened, and Ingrid believes Mike isn't being straight with her.

On the Animal Planet's Finding Bigfoot (10 p.m.), the team returns to the Florida panhandle in hopes of finding more evidence of the Big Guy.
