As the summer's beginning to wind down, it's time to say goodbye to quite a few shows. We've got several season finales and one series finale this week, but the biggest event by far is the premiere of Fear the Walking Dead.

Check out the week in TV below. What's on your watchlist?

Proof (TNT) Tuesday, 10 p.m. - "Tsunami, Part Two"

Season finale! - Over the last few years, TNT's had a good bit of success with taking its original dramas into the realm of the supernatural. Falling SkiesThe Strain and The Last Ship have all proven to be hits, but as the first season draws to a close, the network has still not made a decision about Proof, its latest supernatural show dedicated to trying to solve the mysteries of life after death. That's not because the show's done poorly. It premiere with more than 2 million live viewers, which grew to more than 5 million Live+7, and it's still pulling in more or less 2 million live viewers every single week. That seems small when compared to the more than 4 million live viewers TNT juggernaut Rizzoli & Isles is pulling in every week in its sixth season, but it's still not bad at all for a basic cable drama. Proof isn't exactly a smash, but it's far from a failure. Now we just have to wait and see if TNT will renew it. Check out a preview for the finale below.

Steampunk'd (GSN) Wednesday, 10 p.m. - "The Future Is The Past"

Series premiere! - If cosplay at every convention around the country has taught us anything, it's that steampunk will never die. Now it's getting a boost thanks to a new competition series from the Game Show Network. In this series, 10 contestants will compete in a series of challenges in which they'll have to transform ordinary objects into masterworks of steampunk construction. Each week, one of them will be eliminated, and the last "Maker" standing will take home $100,000. Check out a preview below.

Killjoys (Syfy) Friday, 9 p.m. - "Escape Velocity"

Season finale! - I don't know about you, but for more Killjoys has been the biggest injection of summer TV fun we got in 2015. It's clever, it's slick, it's funny, and it's a perfect example of how to do a show clearly rooted in science fiction while also having a really good time along the way. That said, we still don't know if the show will be around for a second season. The show's been hovering right around 1 million live viewers lately, but where it really seems to be gaining is its demo score. The most recent Live + 7 reports show the show growing 150% in the 18-49 demographic when DVR is factored in. So Killjoys is still packing some level of momentum. Whether that's enough for Syfy to keep it going, though, remains unclear.

Talking Dead Preview Special (AMC) Sunday, 8 p.m.

Sunday is a big night for AMC, as the network premieres its second-ever spinoff series (after Better Call Saul), Fear the Walking Dead. Before we see how The Walking Dead companion show does, though, host Chris Hardwick returns for a Talking Dead special that offers up a preview of the much-anticipated sixth season of The Walking Dead. We don't yet know how much of the new season we'll see, but given that we have to wait until October for new episodes to arrive, this is the next best thing for now.

Fear the Walking Dead (AMC) Sunday, 9 p.m. - "Pilot"

Series premiere! - At last, the time has come. After years of dominating cable, The Walking Dead gets its first spinoff series this week, and we're waiting to see how it matches up to the show that birthed it both creatively and in terms of ratings. Last season The Walking Dead premiered with more than 17 million live viewers, which is astonishing even for a network show. We're not expecting Fear the Walking Dead to launch that huge, but given its parentage, it should at least be an early hit, particularly when you consider that AMC has already ordered a second season. Check out a preview for the series below.
