TV THIS WEEK: Fringe ends forever, Continuum, Being Human + more!

Fringe signs off forever, and Syfy's powerful Mondays are back, along with Syfy's other powerful days of the week. Continuum premieres, while Being Human, Lost Girl, Face Off, and Ghost Hunters return with new seasons.

Also this week, a shaken Oliver tries to rebuild his confidence on Arrow, Castiel tries to save an angel on Supernatural, Sister Jude has new inmate trouble on American Horror Story: Asylum, a new reality series puts miners and paranormal investigators in a haunted mine on Ghost Mine, Marcus tries to surrender the Colorado on Last Resort, Rebekah's back on The Vampire Diaries, Archer returns for a fourth season with amnesia and a wife, Uther returns to haunt Camelot on Merlin, Darth Maul wants vengence on Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Syfy's Tasmanian Devils cause trouble for some skydivers, and a stranger crashes in Storybrooke on Once Upon a Time.

Here's what we have to look forward to this week on sci-fi, fantasy and paranormal TV.

Monday, Jan. 14

Continuum (Syfy) 8 p.m. - "A Stitch in Time"

New series! Kiera Cameron is a cop in the year 2077 who accidentally hitches a ride to 2012 when several terrorists who are set to be executed escape into the past. That leaves the technologically superior Kiera with only one option. Take out the terrorists before they can change the past and perhaps destroy the future, and then get back to the husband and son she loves. The Canadian import stars Rachel Nichols, Erik Knudsen, Matthew Kellog and Victor Webster.

Being Human (Syfy) 9 p.m. - "It's a Shame About Ray"

Season-three premiere! Some time has passed since the fateful events of the season-two cliffhanger. Season three opens with Aidan being unearthed, only to discover that there have been big changes in the vampire community. Meanwhile, Sally tries to escape limbo with her friends, and Josh and Nora deal with the consequences of their actions.

Lost Girl (Syfy) 10 p.m. - "Caged Fae"

Season-three premiere! Our crystal ball tells us there's going to be even more sex ahead on this sizzling series. In the opener, a new Ash is appointed. Meanwhile, Bo takes a walk on the dark side and ends up in hot water.

Tuesday, Jan. 15

Face Off (Syfy) 9 p.m. - "Make It Reign"

Season-four premiere! A new crew of makeup artists are tasked with creating goblin kings and meet their mentor, makeup guru Michael Westmore. Lord of the Rings actor John Rhys-Davies pops in as a guest judge.

Syfy's Total Blackout (10:30 p.m.) returns with new episodes. First up, the only game show that takes place in total darkness challenges the contestants to go through a booby-trapped maze to win $5,000.

Wednesday, Jan. 16

Arrow (The CW) 8 p.m. - "Burned"

With his confidence shaken, Oliver takes a break after his run in with the Dark Archer. However, he may just be pulled back in when Lauren reaches out to the Arrow to find out what happened in the death of a firefighter. Meanwhile, Tommy hosts a firefighter fundraiser.

Supernatural (The CW) 9 p.m. - "Torn and Frayed"

Castiel tries to figure out a way to save a fellow angel who has been captured by Crowley. Elsewhere, Sam must make a decision regarding Amelia.

American Horror Story: Asylum (FX) 10 p.m. - "Continuum"

In the season's penultimate episode, Sister Jude has trouble with a dangerous new inmate. Meanwhile, Grace's obsession with the aliens becomes violent.

Ghost Hunters (Syfy) 9 p.m. - "Hollywood Horror Stories"

Season-nine premiere! Jason and the team are back as TAPS travels to L.A. to dig into the alleged site of the 1947 Black Dahlia murder at the Sowden House. And then they head to Madame Tussaud's Hollywood wax museum to investigate the 1979 death of actor Victor Killan.

Ghost Mine (Syfy) 10 p.m. - "Descent Into Darkness"

New reality series! Syfy's latest paranormal entry follows a group of miners and a couple of paranormal investigators as an abandoned mine in Sumpter, Ore., is reopened. While the miners look for gold, the investigators dig into the site's strange history.

On ABC's The Neighbors (8:30 p.m.), when the Weavers all come down with a cold, an illness the Zabvronians don't have a cure for, Larry quarantines their house in "Cold War."

Thursday, Jan. 17

Last Resort (ABC) 8 p.m. - "The Pointy End of the Spear"

With only two episodes left, Marcus attempts to surrender the Colorado. Meanwhile, Shepard and Kylie go after the president.

The Vampire Diaries (The CW) 9 p.m. - "After School Special"

Rebekah's back with plans to cause lots of trouble as she tries to find out more about the search for the cure. Meanwhile, Bonnie's father suddenly pops up in her life.

Season-four premieres! The funniest spy on TV returns with amnesia, so he heads off for a spa weekend, hoping that will cure him. Unfortunately, he also has a wife and the KGB after him.

Friday, Jan. 18

Fringe (Fox) 9 p.m. - "Liberty" and "An Enemy of Fate"

Season-five two-hour finale! And it all comes down to this. The fate of the human race hangs in the balance as Olivia takes on a dangerous mission before the team's final battle with the Observers.

Merlin (Syfy) 10 p.m. - "The Death Song of Uther Pendragon"

A stranger gives Arthur the power to summon the dead. Unfortunately, when he uses the power to talk to Uther, things do not go well.

Saturday, Jan. 19

Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Cartoon) 9:30 a.m. - "Eminence"

Here's the first episode of the Darth Maul arc. Death Watch, Savage Opress and Darth Maul join forces to destroy Obi-Wan.

Tasmanian Devils (Syfy) 9 p.m.

A group of sky divers and park rangers battle vicious Tasmanian devils. The movie stars Danica McKellar, Apolo Ohno, Kenneth Mitchell, Zach Lipovsky and Brook Durham.

On the Cartoon Network there are new episodes of Ben 10: Omniverse (9 a.m.), Green Lantern: The Animated Series (10 a.m.), and Young Justice: Invasion (10:30 a.m.). And the Bio Channel's Celebrity Ghost Stories (9 p.m.) features stories from Enrico Colantoni, Bernie Kopell, Lisa Lisa and Heather McDonald.

Sunday, Jan. 12

Once Upon a Time (ABC) 8 p.m. - "In the Name of the Brother"

An injured stranger comes under the care of Dr. Whale, but he may be a threat to the people of Storybrooke. Meanwhile, in the fairy-tale world, Victor tries to prove to his father than he can revive the dead.
