Last week, most TV programming was overshadowed by the Democratic National Convention. This week, it will be overshadowed by an even bigger event: the 2016 Summer Olympics. So, we don't actually have a lot of new genre programming coming at us. We're not completely barren though. Among the offerings: The beginning of the end for Ghost Hunters, a weeklong Teen Titans Go! event, and more!
Check out the week in TV below. What's on your watchlist?
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK
Teen Titans Go! (TOON) Monday-Friday, 6 p.m.
Weeklong event! - Teen Titans Go! doesn't fit the mold of a lot of DC Comics animation, but it's still proved popular with fans of all ages. This week, the superhero series returns with a five-day run of episodes following a single story arc. The Titans are stranded on a deserted island all week, and they have to conquer a variety of obstacles to get home. Want to know more? Sure you do, so check out interview with the cast HERE.
Steven Universe (TOON) Monday-Thursday, 7 p.m.
Depending on how you like to watch TV, Steven Universe can be really frustrating. While other shows generally spread their episodes out week-by-week, this show tends to come in bursts, disappearing for months at a time and then unleashing a deluge of new episodes. Well, we're still in the deluge phase right now, which means four straight nights of new episodes, including a showdown between Steven and Amethyst, and more. Check out a preview below.

Ghost Hunters (Syfy) Wednesday, 9 p.m. - "All Aboard the Ghost Train"
Season premiere! - Earlier this summer, the TAPS crew announced that this season of Ghost Hunters -- its 11th -- would be its last Syfy (Blastr's corporate parent - Ed.) which means it's time for the series to go out with a bang. To that end, we're getting all-new investigations at some of the biggest sites yet, and maybe even a few guest stars. Check out a preview below.
