One of the most exciting TV moments of the year has passed us thanks to the season finale of Game of Thrones, but the summer shows are just beginning. This week KilljoysDark Matter and Zoo all return. Plus a new look at Preacher, a new slasher series and more!

Check out the week in TV below. What's on your watchlist?

Zoo (CBS) Tuesday, 9 p.m. - "Day of the Beast" and "Caraquet"

Season premiere! - A few years back, CBS helped make the summer event series an anchor of broadcast TV with Under the Dome, and then they continued that tradition with Zoo. Now James Patterson's story of a world overrun by animals that seem to be in outright rebellion against humans continues, and it only gets more vicious from here. This week, the team has a shot at containing a leopard that just might solve the entire puzzle, but a dangerous mutation threatens one of their lives. Check out a preview below.

Wayward Pines (FOX) Wednesday, 9 p.m. - "City Upon a Hill"

Last summer, Wayward Pines proved to be a massive hit for FOX based in large part on its DVR numbers. The series was never too shabby in live numbers, but by the time a week had passed each episode posted huge gains. That's the case again this year. As of the last Live+7 numbers released, Pines was up more than 80 percent in its demo score, and more than 70 percent in its total viewers. Sure, both of those numbers are smaller this year than they were last year, but that might not matter. This series is still holding viewers' attention, and that might be enough to ensure a third (and perhaps final) season. Check out a preview below.

Preacher (AMC) Thursday, 8 p.m. - "Chapters 1&2: Bonus Edition"

If you haven't dived into Preacher -- AMC's adaptation of the comic book series of the same name -- or if you just want to revisit things, the network has you covered. This week, it begins airing "Bonus Editions" of the show, complete with in-depth, behind-the scenes glimpses into the show's making and mythology. If you're a Preacher nerd, it'll likely hook you. If you just want to understand what the big deal is, this just might hit the spot too.

Killjoys (Syfy) Friday, 9 p.m. - "Dutch and the Real Girl"

Season premiere! - Last season, Killjoys proved to be one of the best sci-fi adventure shows around, and now the crew is back for more runs. This time, the stakes will likely be even higher, the jobs even bigger and the payoffs even more enjoyable. In the season premiere, Dutch and Johnny are after a top-secret shield after their mission to save D'avin doesn't work out. Sounds like fun, and that's only the beginning. Check out a preview below.

Dark Matter (Syfy) Friday, 10 p.m. - "Welcome to Your New Home"

Season premiere! - One of the interesting things about watching Killjoys and Dark Matter back to back is the tonal contrast. Killjoys is all swashbuckling action, while Dark Matter is a more cerebral, restrained character drama. We'll get to see how those dynamics play out again this year, as the Dark Matter crew awaken in a maximum-security space prison with even more questions to unravel. Check out a preview below.

Houdini & Doyle (FOX) 9 p.m. - "Necromanteion"

In Canada, Houdini, Doyle and Adelaide investigate a haunted house with other ghost hunters; Thomas Edison tests a new invention; a fellow investigator dies, and Houdini begins acting strange.
