TV THIS WEEK: S.H.I.E.L.D. premieres, Revolution returns and more!

It's beginning to look a whole lot more like fall with the series premiere of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and the return of Revolution, The Big Bang Theory, and Once Upon a Time.

Also this week, Ichabod and Abbie tangle with a vengeful witch on Sleepy Hollow, Elvira gets reimagined on Face Off, Stan Lee and George Takei show up for the series premiere of Fangasm, Sonya and Marco have more secrets to uncover on The Bridge, Holmes and Watson head to London on Elementary, the Zabronians learn about April Fools' Day on The Neighbors, and people are being drained of their blood on Haven.

Here's what we have to look forward to this week on sci-fi, fantasy, and paranormal TV.

Monday, Sept. 23

Sleepy Hollow (Fox) 9 p.m. - “Blood Moon”

Ichabod and Abbie go on the hunt for a vengeful witch from the 1700s who's doing all the damage she can manage to to Sleepy Hollow. Meanwhile, Andy (John Cho) is back despite how very dead he looked the last time we saw him.

Tuesday, Sept. 24

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (ABC) 8 p.m. - “Pilot”

Series premiere! Not all heroes are super! Joss Whedon's new series follows Agent Phil Coulson as he puts together a gifted team to investigate the strange and the unknown in a world where everyone knows all about super people.

Face Off (Syfy) 9 p.m. - “Living Art”

The artists are tasked with reimagining Elvira, who pops in to judge the best look. And then they must create works of art as if they stepped off the canvas.

Fangasm (Syfy) 10 p.m. - “Beam Me Up, Stan”

Series premiere! Seven uber fans live together in LA and working as interns for Stan Lee's Comikaze Expo. In the premiere, the fans freak when they meet George Takei.

Wednesday, Sept. 25

Revolution (NBC) 8 p.m. - “Born in the U.S.A.”

Season Two premiere! Three months have passed since the events of the finale, as Miles takes a mentally unstable Rachel to see her father. Elsewhere, Charlie plots to kill Monroe and Neville and Jason search for Neville's missing wife.

Paranormal Witness (Syfy) 9 p.m. - “The Innocent”

A family believes they are being haunted by a homicidal foster father and the sister of someone he may have murdered.

Ghost Mine (Syfy) 10 p.m. - “Wandering Spirits”

The investigation uncovers a horrific past.

The Bridge (FX) 10 p.m. - “All About Eva”

After last week's shocking finale worthy episode, Sonya tries to repair her relationship with Marco. Elsewhere, Charlotte makes a new ally.

Thursday, Sept. 26

The Big Bang Theory (CBS) 8 & 8:30 p.m. - “The Hofstadter Insufficiency; The Deception Verification”

One hour Season Seven premiere! It's the biggest Big Bang Theory premiere ever with two back to back episodes. First up in “The Hofstadter Insufficiency,” Sheldon and Penny bond while Leonard is away at sea. Then in “The Deception Verification,” Leonard returns to find the big chill has set in between him and Sheldon.

Elementary (CBS) 10 p.m. - “Step Nine”

Season two premiere! Holmes and Watson head to London to investigate an unsolved mystery. Meanwhile, Joan meets Sherlock's estranged brother, Mycroft.

The Covenant (Syfy) 9 p.m.

In this film, four teens with supernatural powers are challenged by an evil newcomer. The movie stars Steven Strait, Sebastian Stan, Taylor Kitsch and Kyle Schmid.

Friday, Sept. 27

The Neighbors (ABC) 8:30 p.m. - “September Fools”

After learning about April Fools' Day, Larry tries to pull a prank on the Weavers. Meanwhile, Reggie attempts to convince Amber that his Zabvronian soul mate doesn't mean anything to him.

Haven (Syfy) 10 p.m. - “Bad Blood”

Could there be a vampire in Haven? Dwight and Nathan hunt for the Troubled person who appears to be draining people of blood. Elsewhere, Duke tries to convince his brother Wade to leave town.
