We've already seen a lot of the shows we follow here make their 2015 return, but this Sunday arguably the biggest midseason premiere of 2015 will drop. The Walking Dead is back, and the road to the season finale begins. Plus, a Game of Thrones behind-the-scenes special, the Howling Commandos on Agent Carter, and more.

Check out the week in TV below. What's on your watchlist?

Highlights of the Week

Agent Carter (ABC) Tuesday, 9 p.m. - "The Iron Ceiling"

Howling Commandos Alert! - We featured Agent Carter in our Highlighs section last week, and we discussed the show's ratings issues and the potential for its return for a second season, so it might seem weird that we're putting it up here for the second week in a row. Here's the thing, though: Agent Carter's given us big Marvel Cinematic Universe tie-ins for two weeks, and we couldn't very well ignore this one. Last week, Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) returned to the show and devastated Peggy with a secret about Steve Rogers. This week, another blast from Peggy's past is headed to the show, but they'll probably be a little more fun. We saw them in Captain America: The First Avenger, then we saw them again during the season-two premiere of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Now the legendary Howling Commandos make their Agent Carter debut as Peggy finally gets an assignment of her very own and calls for some backup in the form of her pals from the war. Check out a preview below.

Person of Interest (CBS) Tuesday, 10 p.m. - "M.I.A."

It's been an interesting couple of months for Person of Interest. Now in its fourth season, the show's still delivering big numbers for CBS, but for most of the season so far they haven't been as big as prior seasons. In terms of Live+Same Day viewers, this season's premiere was the least watched of any in the show's history thus far, and in 2014 the show dropped below 10 million Live+ Same Day viewers for the first time, and later even dropped below 9 million for a single episode. Then the show's midseason finale happened and kicked off a "trilogy" of episodes that amped up Person of Interest's ongoing story and delivered the two most-watched episodes of the show since early October. Person of Interest is on an uptick, and now after a couple of weeks off the show gets to see if it can continue that uptick with the episode that picks up where the trilogy left off. This week, Root and Reese search for Shaw and end up in an upstate New York town where things aren't what they seem. Check out a preview below.

Helix (Syfy) Friday, 10 p.m. - "Densho"

Now that Helix is a couple of episodes into its second season, we thought we'd check in and see how it's doing, and unfortunately, the news isn't great. Last season, the show never slipped below 1 million Live+Same Day viewers per episode, which is pretty solid for a cable drama airing late Friday nights. This season, the show kicked off with 1 million viewers, and by episode two it dropped well below that number, with around 700,000 viewers. We haven't seen the episode-three numbers yet, and of course the show is getting at least some boost from DVR viewers, but even with that boost this doesn't look good. Now, it should be noted that this doesn't mean Helix is on its way out. A different setting and an entirely new story for the second season was always going to be a bit of a gamble, and it's possible that some viewers simply haven't settled in yet. These numbers seem small, yes, but in reality they're not that far off from the numbers Helix put up in season one. There's still room for this show to climb back. This week, Michael struggles to keep the abbey under control, the CDC team moves closer to the source of the pathogen, and Alan fights the urge to rejoin his colleagues. Check out a preview below.

Game of Thrones: A Day in the Life (HBO) Sunday, 7:30 p.m.

Behind-the-scenes special! - We still have more than two months to wait before the premiere of Game of Thrones' much-anticipated fifth season, but this weekend HBO will help make that wait easier with a new special taking us inside the making of the show. One of the most interesting things about Game of Thrones is just how big the production is: arguably bigger than anything else that's been on TV before. To achieve the epic look and feel of the series, the show films in multiple countries, with multiple units and hundreds of cast and crew, all within the span of a single day. This special takes us inside a single day of filming across three countries, and includes new interviews with the show's cast and crew. Check out a preview below.

The Walking Dead (AMC) Sunday, 9 p.m. - "What Happened and What's Going On"

Midseason premiere! - Finally, after more than two months away, The Walking Dead is back to start the second half of its fifth season. The season so far has already seen shocking deaths, intriguing teasers of what's to come and, of course, new ratings records, but if we know The Walking Dead that's all just the beginning. The midseason finale back in November saw the group rocked by the loss of someone close to them, but in this world, you have to keep fighting, and new dangers and opportunities for survival could always be right around the corner. What will Rick and the team face next? Who will stay and who will go? How high will the ratings climb this time around? We'll tune in and find out, as this week the group finds that a detour could have what they're searching for. Check out a preview below.
