TV THIS WEEK: Summer Glau, American Horror Story and more!

It's a whole new season and new spooky story when American Horror Story: Asylum premieres on Wednesday. And Summer Glau returns to Alphas as a mechanical genius, while Kelly Hu takes on Arrow.

Also this week, Charlie and the gang get closer to finding her brother on Revolution, a well-known producer pops up on Face Off, Sam thinks of quitting hunting on Supernatural, Chaplin and Kandal are accused of treason on Last Resort, Wolowitz returns from space on The Big Bang Theory, Elena has vampire transition troubles on The Vampire Diaries, a dead ballerina brings Cat and Vincent back together on Beauty and the Beast, Sherlock and Watson hunt for a missing child on Elementary, Juliette is drawn to another man on Grimm, a female vigilante goes after criminals on Haven, Ellie is reminded of her broken engagement on Bedlam, Captain Hook gets a story on Once Upon a Time, a life hangs in the balance on The Walking Dead, and Jane discovers who the thief is at the Drake on 666 Park Avenue.

Monday, Oct. 15

Alphas (Syfy) 8 p.m. - "Need to Know"

Summer Glau alert! Skylar's back, and the team is trying to rescue her from Parish, a task that proves difficult. Meanwhile, Rosen interrogates an Alpha prisoner who is devastated by the death of his daughter. Sean Astin also guest-stars.

As the group gets closer to Neville, it looks like there's going to be one big clash. Meanwhile, the value of Danny's life goes up and Nora connects with another rebel.

Face Off (Syfy) 9 p.m. - "Junkyard Cyborg"

Gale Anne Hurd alert! The co-writer of Terminator and the executive producer of The Walking Dead pops in to give the makeup artists the challenge of creating a cyborg from items in a junkyard.

Hot Set (Syfy) 10:00 p.m. - "Basement of Horrors"

The dueling production designers are tasked with creating a serial killer's secret lair, as opposed to a serial killer's not-so-secret lair, we're assuming.

Wednesday, Oct. 17

Arrow (The CW) 8 p.m. - "Honor Thy Father"

Kelly Hu alert! Hu guest-stars as China White, a ruthless mercenary who faces off against Arrow when Laurel is targeted by the Chinese Triad. Meanwhile, Oliver considers taking over the family company.

Supernatural (The CW) 9 p.m. - "Heartache"

Sam and Dean look into the murders of several people who were the recipients of organs from the same donor. Meanwhile, Sam tells Dean he's ready to quit hunting.

Ghost Hunters (Syfy) 9 p.m. - "Curtain Call"

TAPS investigates the spirited reports of paranormal activity at the Rialto Square Theater.

American Horror Story: Asylum (FX) 9 p.m. - "Welcome to Briarcliff"

Season-two premiere! Jessica Lange heads the cast of returning and new actors, who take on a brand-new story about the evils that happen at a notorious insane asylum, Briarcliff Manor, during the 1960s. One thing we know, this one isn't about ghosts. Season two also stars Zachary Quinto, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, James Cromwell, Joseph Fiennes, Adam Levine and Lily Rabe.

Wolowitz returns from space, but he doesn't get the hero's welcome he thinks he deserves. Meanwhile, there are some issues with game night.

Elena continues her transformation as a vampire, but things don't go well for her. Meanwhile, Stefan believes the town might just have a new vampire hunter, and one who isn't likely to get chummy with the local vamps.

The suspicious death of a ballerina leads Cat to ask Vincent to help her investigate the case. Meanwhile, Tess discovers something shocking about the man she's dating.

Grimm (NBC) 9 p.m. - "The Other Side"

Bedlam (BBC America) 9 p.m. - "Unfaithful"

A wedding brings up bad memories for Ellie when it comes to her own broken engagement.

Captain Hook alert! Looks like we'll find out how Captain Hook got his hook. In the fairy-tale land, Rumpelstiltskin tries to save his wife from pirates. And in the real world, Belle has issues with Mr. Gold.

If you saw last Sunday's episode you know what shocking thing happened. It looks like the prison isn't going to be as safe as the survivors had hoped. According to the episode description, lives hang in the balance and the survivors face a new threat. No kidding.

Chris Hardwick hosts as The Walking Dead cast, crew and fans discuss the latest episode of the series, "Sick."

666 Park Avenue (ABC) 10:01 p.m. - "Hero Complex"

Henry's loyalties are tested when he's asked to spy on Gavin, who is under investigation for suspected illegal real-estate transactions. Meanwhile, Jane finds out who the thief at the Drake is and Nona has terrible visions about Henry's future.
