TV THIS WEEK: True Blood's battle royale, Jewel Staite and more!

The war between the witches and vamps comes to a head on True Blood, Stargate Altantis' Jewel Staite returns to Syfy to take on a Doomsday Prophecy, and Doctor Who returns with a Matt Smith special.

Also, Zoe returns to Eureka, H.G. Wells is back on a time-tripping Warehouse 13, Lindsay Wagner pops up thanks to a medical emergency on Alphas, Scott's caught between the werewolf hunters and the alpha on Teen Wolf, Chloe's torn between Brian and Alek on The Nine Lives of Chloe King, Fry raises an alien egg on Futurama, Randall tries to sell Mark's soul on Ugly Americans, members of Torchwood end up trapped, Audrey goes on a date on Haven, and BBC America offers up a Doctor Who special focusing on Matt Smith's Doctor.

Monday, Aug. 8

Eureka (Syfy) 8 p.m. - "Omega Girls"

Zoe's back! Jordan Hinson returns for a visit as Jack's daughter, Zoe, and she's none too happy with Lupo. However, when they arrive in Eureka they discover a far bigger problem than Lupo's complicated relationship with Zane. Ming Na also guest-stars.

Warehouse 13 (Syfy) 9 p.m. - "3 ... 2 ... 1"

H.G. Wells alert! Pete and Myka go on the hunt through time for Joshua's Trumpet, with a little help from last year's villain, H.G. Wells (Jaime Murray). Torchwood's Gareth David-Lloyd also guest-stars.

Alphas (Syfy) 10 p.m. - "Never Let Me Go"

Lindsay Wagner alert! Warehouse 13's Dr. Vanessa Calder (Wagner) pops in to visit the Alphas when one of the team is stricken by a deadly illness that may be caused by an Alpha. And Rosen and his team join the Defense Criminal Investigation Service and take on their first case involving a Pennsylvania high school.

Teen Wolf (MTV) 10 p.m. - "Formality"

Things are heating up on this show, which is so much cooler than it sounds. In the episode, Scott struggles to protect his friends and enemies alike during the school's winter formal. Meanwhile, Allison finds out the truth about the secrets her family has been keeping from her.

Tuesday, Aug. 9

The Nine Lives of Chloe King (ABC Family) 9 p.m. - "Responsible"

Chloe's romantic advice for a teenager backfires and puts the teen in danger. Meanwhile, things get tense between Alek and Brian when it comes to their feelings for Chloe, and Jasmine makes an error.

Ghost Hunters International (Syfy) 9 p.m. - "Murders and Mysteries: England and New Zealand"

The GHI team investigates reports of a girl spirit at the Castle Rushen on the Isle of Man. And then it's off to New Zealand to explore a hotel that had an unsolved murder.

Legend Quest (Syfy) 10 p.m. - "King Solomon's Ring/Merlin's Magical Treasures"

Historian and symbologist Ashley Cowie treks to the U.K. for Merlin's treasures, and then it's a hunt for King Solomon's ring, which may just control demons.

Futurama (Comedy Central) 10 p.m. - "Fry Am the Egg Man"

When Fry decides to care for an alien egg, he ends up with a surprising result

Randall decides to sell Mark's soul on the Soul Exchange, which interests Callie and her father.

On USA's Burn Notice (9 p.m.), Michael and Jesse find trouble during an extraction mission on a Caribbean island in "Hard Out." National Geographic's Naked Science (9 p.m.) examines exoskeleton suits and how they might enhance human strength and locomotion in "Make Me Superhuman." On FX's Wilfred (10 p.m.), Ryan has issues regarding the death of his childhood dog in "Anger," which guest-stars Lost's Nestor Carbonell. Torchwood: Miracle Day (Starz) 10 p.m. - "The Middle Men"

True Blood (HBO) 9 p.m. - "Spellbound"

Sookie and Eric take sides in the vampire/witch conflict as Bill prepares to meet Marnie. Meanwhile, Lafayette has possession issues and Sam gains an enemy when it comes to Luna's ex, who happens to be a dangerous werewolf pack leader.

On Discovery's Curiosity: Alien Invasion - Are We Ready? (8 a.m.), Michelle Rodriguez hosts a look into what scientists and military strategists believe would happen if there was an alien invasion.
