Stephen King's been writing fiction and releasing it into the world for almost 40 years, and in that time, many of those horrific tales are set in the same place, or feature the same characters. To keep it all straight, a graphic designer has ginned up this flowchart, which shows how King's worlds all tie together.
Even though King's stories seem to be set in a vast, sweeping place, it pretty much revolves around two Maine locations: Castle Rock and Derry. Fascinated by the amount of connective tissue in King's library, designer Gillian Smith set out to break it all down. The result is a somewhat spaghetti-like portrait of a shared universe.
