While we already know that Jada Pinkett-Smith will play the main villain on FOX’s upcoming series Gotham, the actress may have spilled a few beans on her big bad role.

Gotham is a sorta Batman TV prequel series that stars Ben McKenzie as a young Detective James Gordon, Donal Logue as Detective Harvey Bullock and Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth.

Taking to Facebook, here’s what Pinkett-Smith revealed:

To my Facebook family
Last night, I decided to accept the role of Fish Mooney, who is the sadistic villain in the upcoming Batman prequel, Gotham, for Fox TV. I’ve committed to a year to work alongside a very talented cast, a super cool, creative and talented head writer and an extraordinary director. This one…is going to be funnnnnn!
Stay tuned:)

The thing is, Pinkett-Smith has just revealed that she has signed on for a year. Does that mean that her character will bite the dust before season’s end? Might it be that Fish Mooney may not even make it to the end of the season? It’s possible, since the show will introduce younger versions of the Riddler, the Joker and the Penguin (played by Robin Lord Taylor).

What do you guys think? Will Jada Pinkett-Smith's Fish Mooney "sleep with the fishes" (pun totally intended) by season's end?
