Forget about Krypto --- here comes Super-Pup!
Even in the 1950s, when comics were leaning more toward the horror genre, Superman remained a cottage industry unto himself. It's hardly any surprise that someone would want to use his name to launch a show for kids. So how is it that a TV pilot with a superhero pedigree has never been seen until now?
Ladies and gentlemen, striaght from 1958, we give you -- The Adventures Of Super-Pup. Really.
The creators of The Adventures of Superman were clearly pretty hard up for ideas the day they decided to polish up this turd and film it. While we accept that there's truth to the statement, "kids will watch anything," we still think this show would have stretched that theory to its limit.
Still, we're tickled that the pilot found its way to YouTube. After all, why let something be lost to the annals of history when it's so awfully funny?
