Taking the floor at E3 last night, Sony PlayStation has released a stunning (and action-packed) story trailer for Naughty Dog’s Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.

While the upcoming Uncharted video game title doesn’t feature main hero Nathan Drake (Nolan North), The Lost Legacy sees Chloe Frazer (Farscape’s Claudia Black), who made her first appearance in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’s Nadine Ross (Laura Bailey) join forces for a thrilling new treasure-seeking adventure. And it looks everything an Uncharted game should be: adventurous, exciting and action-packed, with a fantastic story and great characters to boot.

The game, which is set in the Western Ghats mountain range in India, will apparently center on Chloe’s past as she returns to India for the first time in years, when she and Nadine go on the hunt for a treasure called the Tusk of Ganesh! I already have my game on pre-order, and I can't wait to get my hands on it. Here’s a synopsis:

From the critically acclaimed developer, Naughty Dog, comes the first standalone adventure in the Uncharted series. Chloe Frazer must enlist the aid of renowned mercenary Nadine Ross in order to recover a fabled ancient Indian artifact and keep it out of the hands of a ruthless war profiteer. Together, they’ll venture deep into the mountains of India in search of the legendary artifact. Along the way, they’ll learn to work together to unearth the mystery of the artifact, fight their way through fierce opposition, and prevent the region from falling into chaos.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will be available exclusively for PlayStation 4 on August 22.
