Good news, dino fans: Jurassic Park 4 is back from extinction (again)!
Earlier this year, after years of speculation and feeling like it was about to happen, we finally got a release date for the next Jurassic Park flick. Then, just a few months later, our hopes of seeing the film in 2014 were crushed like a jeep beneath a T-rex's feet, when various issues (most likely all tied to budget concerns) put the film on indefinite hold. Now it seems the hold is over, and the film has a release year.
The image above comes from this week's Licensing Expo 2013 in Las Vegas. There's also word from that expo that the film will be shot in 3D (rather than post-converted), but that hasn't been confirmed by the studio just yet.
So it seems that Universal is confident enough in the film's development to put that banner up, though they haven't set a definite release date yet. We can probably safely guess it'll be a summer release, though, which means that you could be seeing the long-awaited fourth Jurassic Park flick two years from now, give or take a month or two. What do you think? Will the flick actually make it this time?
