The Uninvited opened in third place on the Jan. 30 weekend, taking in an estimated $10.5 million, Variety reported. It was the only genre title to debut on the Super Bowl weekend.

Inkheart, meanwhile, continued to struggle in its second weekend of release, placing 10th and declining 51 percent to an estimated $3.7 million, for a total to date of only $12.8 million.

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans saw the biggest week-over-week drop among titles on the top 10 chart, dipping 65 percent in its second weekend to an estimated $7.2 million, for a 10-day total of $32.8 million.
