FX Productions and Marvel Television are joining forces for the first ever live-action X-Men spinoff series, Legion, and the first trailer was dropped during the show’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con. Let's have a look, shall we?
The trippy trailer offers a tantalizing hint at the extent of David Haller’s (Dan Stevens) mutant powers. Oh, and for the uninitiated, David Haller happens to be Charles Xavier’s schizophrenic son. The series was created and developed by Fargo’s Noah Hawley and will also star Aubrey Plaza, Jean Smart, Hamish Linklater, Jeremie Harris, Amber Midthunder, Rachel Keller and Katie Aselton.
Check it out:
Legion follows David Haller, a troubled young man who may be more than human. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he’s confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and visions might be real.
The eight-episode first season of Legion will debut sometime in early 2017 on FX.
