The classic series Unsolved Mysteries is enjoying a bit of buzz on streaming over on Amazon Prime, and now the creators are looking to get the show back off the ground.

During a Reddit Ask Me Anything, creators Terry Dunn Meurer and John Cosgrove said they are working to set up meetings to try and get a new version of Unsolved Mysteries on the air. The show’s format of using actors and interviews to re-create unsolved crimes, paranormal events, and broken love stories has resonated with fans for years — and it stands to reason there’s a network out there looking to add a brand-name franchise with an easy-to-follow format.

Here’s an excerpt from their comments about the progress:

“We too would very much like to see new Unsolved Mysteries shows on the air. We are in the process of reaching out to networks to see if there is interest in ordering new shows. Let’s keep our fingers crossed! We are always trying to find a network, channel, or streaming service that would like to show new episodes.”

If you need a refresher on Unsolved Mysteries, head over to Amazon Prime to catch some classic episodes. if the show did come back, where do you think it should land? Also — who should host the new-look Unsolved Mysteries?
